What extra precautions are you taking?

The pandemic has had a massive impact on Regather as an organisation, with our fruit and veg box scheme doubling in size. We are doing all we can to upscale our operations in order to provide for the people of Sheffield and support small, local businesses, while taking extra measures to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.

Deliveries

Our deliveries are now “low-contact”. So, when we deliver your box, we will put the box by the door, knock, and then step back, for you to answer the door and retrieve the box. If you’re not home, or want a ‘no-contact’ delivery, we’ll leave the box in the safe place where you’ve asked us to leave it, and we'll post the newsletter through your door. We still ask you to return your old box, but ask you to leave it outside (protected from the elements) if possible. We have added additional items to the online shop so customers can have more of their groceries delivered.

Collection

The Regather collection point is open, with some changes. We’re now open 2 afternoons a week. Tuesday 3-7pm and Thursday 3-7pm. Come to the door, say your name and we’ll bring your box over to you, so you don’t need to come into our food packing space. We’ll be wearing a mask, and ask that you do too.

Hygiene

We have increased the level of preventative measures across Regather. When working from home isn’t possible, staff are limiting close or prolonged contact with one another, keeping the crucial 2m distance wherever possible, wearing masks, keeping spaces ventilated and washing and sanitising hands and surfaces regularly. Staff have been told to self-isolate if they have been in contact with a known case of Covid-19 or if they are displaying symptoms.
