What does seasonal mean?

Seasonality refers to the idea that different produce grows best at different times of year. When something is in season, that means it is produced widely and at its best. Produce coming in and out of season is often grown in polytunnels. And some produce is stored. Eating in-season produce is beneficial because it requires less resources, and is less intensive, making it healthier for the land. It’s also fresher and often has less food miles.
